How to Apply and Add Missing Documents

Create or sign in to your iCommission account, complete your reusable agent profile, and start an application for the transaction. You can save a draft while gathering documents, or submit a preliminary application to establish contact when information is still missing. Return to that same application to add documents and submit the completed information for review.

How do you start an application?

iCommission's commission advance service is for licensed real estate professionals working through brokerages in Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta. Registration alone does not establish eligibility or approve an advance.

  • Create an account or sign in to your existing account.
  • Complete or update your agent profile, including your real estate licence and brokerage contacts.
  • Start a new application for the transaction and enter its type, address, closing date and requested advance amount.
  • Upload relevant documents and check the information shown before submitting.

What is the difference between saving and submitting?

Completeness describes the information supplied, not the result of the review. Staff may need clarification, corrected documents or brokerage confirmation even after a complete submission.

Application stages before a funding decision
ActionWhat it meansWhat to do next
Save DraftKeeps your work in your account without submitting it for reviewResume the same application when you have more information
Submit Preliminary ApplicationShares your incomplete request so the team can follow up; it is not a complete review submissionCheck the missing-items list and follow-up email, then update this application
Submit Complete ApplicationSubmits the completed information into the formal review workflowWatch for staff requests; submission is not approval

How do you add missing documents?

Use the same application for the same transaction. You do not need to remember and type an application number to locate it in your signed-in dashboard. If the application is no longer editable, contact the team instead of creating a duplicate.

  • Sign in to your iCommission account and open the existing application from your dashboard.
  • Review the missing information or the team's request.
  • Edit the available fields and add the requested files to the relevant categories.
  • Wait until uploads finish successfully, then submit the updated application when it is ready.

What changes for a returning agent?

Your account retains your profile and application records. Check that your licence, brokerage, contacts and reusable documents are current before applying for another transaction. Each new deal needs its own application and transaction documents.

If you applied before the website account system and cannot see an older record, contact iCommission. The team may need to confirm ownership and match the historical record. Entering a licence number alone does not grant access to someone else's records.

What happens after submission?

The application and documents are checked for completeness and consistency. iCommission may contact you or your brokerage to confirm details or ask for additional information.

The iCommission team makes the funding decision and confirms the approved amount, fee, terms and timing. A saved draft, preliminary application, completed submission or automated review result is not a funding approval.

Common questions

Can I apply before I have every document?

Yes. You can submit a preliminary application when information is missing so the team can follow up. The missing items still need to be addressed before the application is ready for formal review.

Do I have to leave the website to upload missing documents?

No. For a website application, sign in to your iCommission account, open the existing application, and add the requested documents there.

Should I start a new application to correct a document?

No. Update the existing application for that transaction while it is editable. If editing is unavailable, contact the team. Start a new application for a different transaction.

This guide explains the iCommission process. Eligibility, pricing, contract terms and funding timing are confirmed by the team for each application.
